About Us

An inventor, Ed O'Mara who kept losing his pen thought it'd be great to be able to wear a pen on his finger so it would always be available and ready to write. He’d never lose his pen again! Another smart guy said, if you have the pen on your middle finger, you can hold it like a regular pen but it won’t be in your way when you need to use the computer. His name was Ralph Lagergren, and his vision of the keyboard under the Zip pen is a revolutionary way of writing. Combining writing with doing other things, like typing, using the telephone or a calculator. How convenient. And simple.

Ralph and his team are committed to re-inventing writing instruments to make them more convenient and fun.

During the development of Zip Pen, Ralph decided to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Children’s Craniofacial Association in Dallas Texas. They are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with facial differences and their families. Nationally and internationally, CCA addresses the medical, financial, psychosocial, emotional, and educational concerns relating to craniofacial conditions. CCA's mission is to empower and give hope to facially disfigured children and their families. CCA envisions a world where all people are accepted for who they are not how they look.
